Entry#2: Freezer Frenzy # JusticeForKennekaMartin

Welcome back guys, this morning back at Chicago,IL some violent acts went down. This 19 year old girl was murdered at a hotel party. Her body was found in the hotel walk-in freezer. Until now no one knows what happened to her but almost everyone is blaming her friends for her death. Being that it was a hotel party, of coarse there was alcohol and drugs. Everyone is going off of this Facebook live video( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJYU6L23pmA). When I watched the video, it sounded like the girl was calling out for help. If you look in the girls glasses you can see that their were people sitting in front of her. The girl answers the phone and tells who ever it is on the phone the room number and to park in the parking lot. Towards the end of the video the girl passes the phone to the 19-year old's best friend. After watching the video three times to makes sure I heard everything right, I came to the conclusion that it was the boy that was talking to her before the music came on(3:46). The reason why I'm writing about this is because situations like this happen through out the United States. You could just be going to a party with your closest friends and something tragic like this happens. I remember being taught to always take someone with me if we are at a public place even a party. Where ever I go my best friends goes and vise versa.This story was so sand and I hope they find justice for the young lady that lost her life. #R.I.P

    Wow! I haven't heard about this story until now. This is heart breaking. I agree with you, Its better to travel in pairs. I also avoid going to places alone and I try to always be aware of my surroundings. This is a great post. Thank you for sharing.

      When I first read the article, it was heartbreaking because she was found dead in the freezer frozen to death and to think your not even safe hanging out with friends( the people you should trust) is crazy. But thanks for reading!

    It's sad how things like this happen in the world. The times where people could be safe alone are gone and now an open eye has to be had. R.I.P

      Yeah it really is sad, Sometimes I wish things were the same as when we were younger. Things like this rarely happened, but as we get older I see more violent acts becoming patterns.

    Sad story, heard about it on social media awhile back but glad to see others are aware of tragedies like this so hopefully instances like this can be avoided in the future. #justiceforKeenekaMartin

      I originally heard about it on social media also. Being that majority of my friends and family still live in Chicago, that's all I seen on my timeline. Within this week, they still haven't found out who did but videos will soon solve the mystery(So I think).

Hey guys, between working, taking care of your kid(s), and school, do you ever have a day where it's devoted just for you? Personally I devoted every other Friday which is what I call " Mommy Day". Being that everyday I am a mom and motherhood calls 24/8, It can be challenging but doing this helps give me the pick me up that I need. Mommy day can be me being in the house in my pj's and catching up on my shows or  treating myself to a manicure and pedicure. The reason why its every other Friday because normally when its not mommy day, I spend it with my son and we go out and enjoy each others company.   Hey guys, this week I will be talking about my transition from week one to now the last week of English 102.   Looking back on week one to now week 14, I've noticed a big transition within myself.  For it to be my second time around blogging, I must admit this experience can never get old. I find myself wanting to blog on blogger more than be on social media. On blogger, I feel more free and open to talk about my personal life experiences and my opinions on certain topics. Hey guys I'm Taconna. I enjoy reading urban fiction books, traveling inside the United States, and when I have time hang out with my friends. I am from Chicago, Illinois but I moved to Arizona about two years ago due to the violence back home.
